SmartDocs integrates seamlessly with Microsoft® Word and Microsoft® SharePoint, making it easy for your writing team to create, manage, track, find, and share content.
SmartDocs supports Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, and 2013 running on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10. SmartDocs supports both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows and Microsoft Office.
SmartDocs supports SharePoint 2007, 2010, and 2013. SharePoint can be hosted internally in your organization’s environment, hosted using Microsoft's cloud-based Office 365 environment, or it can be hosted for you by 36Software.
In order to configure SharePoint to work with SmartDocs, the user needs permission to create lists and libraries inside of the SharePoint site. SmartDocs does not require that you install any software on your SharePoint server, nor does it require any special server-side SharePoint configurations.
Before installing SmartDocs, the Microsoft .NET Framework (version 2.0 or higher) must be installed on your computer. Most computers already have the.NET Framework installed. If the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is not installed on your computer, please contact your IT help desk for further assistance.
